How to Evangelize the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Many people ask me how I know how to Evangelize. Here's my reply...
I begin each day by prayerfully, reading and searching God's will through His Word. For as long as it takes, I ABIDE IN GOD THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST BY HIS SPIRIT OF TRUTH."
By doing so, God continually reminds me to STOP LOVING THE WORLD & MYSELF. (Starting out with the world takes my eyes off of God and my heart away from Him-causing my heart to focus on something other than His will for me).
Afterward, I go out into the world TO CARRY OUT HIS WILL & DEMONSTRATE HIS GREAT LOVE FOR THE LOST & HURTING. (God uses specific instructions from His Word to show me how to complete my next task. Then, His Spirit leads me to a particular person in need).
PLEASE NOTE THAT...When we try to fabricate a reason to share the Gospel, the desire comes from our own flesh! Our efforts are meaningless to the other person and to God! But, when we abide in Christ and Christ in us first, God will stir up our souls with an earnest yearning to see lost souls saved."

July 16, 2013: My Personal Journal Entry: 1 Peter 3:1-2 Submission first begins with Jesus our LORD!

Dear LORD, I am sorry I have not written for the past two weeks. I have become utterly consumed with treating my husband as though I am serving You personally. As You know, there have been times when I’ve had to stop myself from reacting to utter madness.  But a simple prayer to You helped me to remain tenderhearted, quick to forgive and compassionate towards the man You’ve chosen for me.
I must say, it feels good to refuse to give into temptation or give the devil ground. And the sweet unexpected touch of Your love and kindness that follows each trying moment continues to fill my heart with a desire to try even harder the following day.
What I realize now, is that You are far more interested in my character than my comfort. Now, as I sit here quietly alone reading Your Word, savoring this tender moment, I receive the confirmation I so desperately desired upon my return home.  And, I find that I through it all, LeeRoy’s baptism, my hasty move out of our home, and in the life of an unequally yoked marriage, only a kind and gentle spirit can demonstrate Your loving grace.

Today, I will meditate upon Your Word which instructs, “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.” (1 Peter 3:1-2 NKJV). I love You LORD Jesus. Amen.

July 12, 2012 My Personal Journal Entry: Falling for Satan's schemes. Lead me not into Temptation.

Righteous are You, LORD when I come to You, You let me speak with You about Your ways. Another day has come and gone. Unlike those days when I lay my head down feeling satisfied and victorious, tonight, my burdened heart won’t let me sleep. Instead, I am still awake, during these early morning hours, completely lost in thought.
Sovereign LORD, why do You allow the Prince of Darkness to use life’s circumstances to tempt me? Satan comes on so strong. He rushes me, frightens me and confuses me. And, I am so weak. I fall for his ways. Oh LORD, I feel that my behavior today has let You down. And, I am sorry.
Our trailer’s air conditioning unit simply couldn’t keep up with the rising outside temperature. The main circuit breaker box kept tripping. Travis and I were starting to swelter inside our little home.
Then, ants. Everywhere! To sit down meant they’d crawl on you. The determined small insects had even taken over improbable places. Inside the fridge, green grapes were freckled with those pesky ants while the interruption of electricity caused our food to begin to spoil. Meanwhile, Raid Ant Killer hovered in the motionless hot air.
Outside, the trailer park servicemen posted flyers warning of baby rattlesnakes. One had just been killed just two campsites away after the snake bit LeeRoy’s coworker’s dog on the nose. I began to wonder, “Which is more dangerous, keeping my son and rescued Chihuahuas inside with the heat and poisonous pesticide or taking our chances outside with the Rattlers?”
Despite all of this, I still had a job to do. Grocery shop for new dinner ingredients and wash the mounds of dirty laundry that were piling up. In between hanging foil over the windows and battling the fuse box, I tried my best to keep Travis and our small dogs cool while attempting my household chores.
Around mid-day, I finally finished the clothes. I began to put the clothes into each small space. That’s when I discovered the little bottle! Instantly, the father of lies began to whisper in my ear, “What happened to the smooth, hassle free, even romantic transition you waited patiently for? Maybe your friends and family were right. You shouldn’t have come here.” With the clothes basket still in my grasp, I sat back on the bed. Beads of sweat dripped into my eyes. Tired, hot and vulnerable, I slumped over and began to cry. Then, in instant, I felt my heart fill with self-righteous anger. So, I stood back upon my feet, cast my laundry basket to the side and impulsively called my husband at work. With a very discouraging tone, I condemned him for not seeking help. Amazingly, LeeRoy responded with grace. He remained calm and even seemed to be humbled by my call.

Within hours, I was left sorrowfully repenting for how I had acted. I began to pray, “Heavenly Father, I am sorry. I do believe that You are still at work in our lives.  Please help me to trust Your plan even when I can’t make sense of it. Please God, help me to remember that You deliberately chose LeeRoy to be my husband. Please help me to reverence him instead of seeing him as a threat.  Please, LORD, use my marriage to glorify Your holy name! I love You, Christ Jesus. Amen.”

July 7, 2012 My Personal Journal Entry: Taming my Christian Tongue for God's Sake

Dear Jesus, this heat is blistering! News reporters warn, “A dangerous heat wave is expected to hit parts of Southern California beginning Tuesday, bringing triple-digit temperatures to inland valley areas,” exactly where You’ve moved us. The outside thermometer reads, “106 degrees.” Our small built-in air conditioner is working overtime to keep up with the sweltering heat. And, as the temperature boils, I find myself struggling to keep my cool.

It’s only mid-afternoon and I’ve completely forgotten how to tame my tongue. My poor young son! I’m picking on him about every little thing. Please, Jesus, use Your Spirit to calm my soul. I’m sorry I’ve chosen to waste this day by complaining. Help me, Lord, to be a reflection of Your love, especially to my young son, no matter my circumstances. In Your Holy Name. Amen."

July 3, 2012: My Personal Journal Entry. God is at work in every conversation

Father God, surely You are at work in each conversation I am having with my new neighbors. Today, I felt led by Your Holy Spirit to strike up another conversation. This time, only one of the two women was sitting outside when I approached their trailer. The woman invited me to sit with her in the shade. Instantly, she shared her heartbreaking story with me. You had called her young son and husband home one day through a tragic car accident. Tears began to fill my eyes. When the woman had finished speaking, I told her that I was adding her name to my prayer board. I promised to pray that You’d send Your Spirit to ease her suffering heart. As I turned to walk away, I did my best to keep from breaking down. Instead, I smiled and said, “I will pray for a relief in the triple digit temperature outside.”

Just inside our trailer, my knees buckled. I fell to the ground and began to weep. At the time of the tragedy, her son was seven-years-old, the same age Travis is now. I wept as though the tragedy had happened to me. Through countless tears, I poured my heart out to You. “Heavenly Father, please comfort Your child. Please heal her broken heart and surround her with Your love.  In Jesus’ Holy name, Amen.”  By the time I had finished, I felt physically exhausted. Even so, later on, I kept my word and prayed for You to show the woman a sign. “Please Lord, bring us some relief from this heat and let her know You are here with us.”

July 1, 2012: My Personal Journal Entry: God answers my prayer for our family to reunify under the same roof

Dear Elohim, after three and a half years of living apart, our family is once again reunified.  I would never have imagined our new life together would begin in a trailer park located just outside of Los Angeles. Yet, from the moment we pulled into the park, my heart practically burst from excitement. I could barely contain my eagerness to help my husband set up camp. I swiftly asked, “What do we do first?” as he began to attach the sewer line and electrical cords. LeeRoy sweetly responded, “I got this honey. I don’t want you to get dirty.” Like a little child, I had to fight the urge to fidget while I stood by his side offering words of encouragement.
With nothing better to do, I looked around and took in our new surroundings. Right away, I noticed two new neighbors. The two women, living in the neighboring campsite, kindly greeted us and welcomed us to the park.  Within a few hours, we were all set up and settled in.

Soon it was time for supper. Since it was our first real night spent around our new dinner table, I prepared some warm home comfort food: pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn, and applesauce. Our 7-year-old set the table. My husband took his seat while I made his plate. Then, I set his plate in front of him. Without hesitation, my husband humbly said, "This is so nice." Then, he reached out both of his hands, palm side up. We all held hands and my husband began to pray, "Lord Jesus, there are no words to express how grateful I feel right now. Thank You for this meal and for bringing my family home to me." My head slumped over a little further as tears fell like rain.
In my heart, I said a little prayer of my own. "Thank You LORD for answering my prayer to reunify me with my husband under the same roof. In Jesus' name. Amen."

May 15, 2012 My Personal Journal Entry- Dear Jesus, My Son wants to get Baptized

Dear Jesus, my Lord, today our seven-year-old son Travis, shared with me that he wants to follow You. What a glorious sacred sign of Your work in our lives! I already feel as though Travis has been walking along my side this entire time. Still, as his mother, I can’t wait to see him publicly profess his belief in You. Thank You, LORD, for graciously allowing Travis to come to a saving faith in You at such a young age. I know that it was Your Spirit Who was actively sharing the Gospel with Travis every day and calling on him to respond. Thank You, God, for the work You have done in Travis’ heart!
Also, LORD, I’d like to thank You for another little boy, Travis’ first-grade buddy.  For over a year now, this little boy’s dad and I have spoken at length about You.  It didn’t take long before Travis’ little classmate, so inquisitive, began to ask questions of his own. Now, he wants to attend Travis’ baptism.

I wonder how long this little boy’s mother, a true believer in You, has waited for this moment. Won’t You please persuade this little boy’s Father to allow his son to attend the baptism? Thank You for leading this family unto our walk with You! I love You, God! Amen.
