Apologies From a Repentant Christian Official Book Launch

On Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2011, the official book launch of Apologies From a Repentant Christian, will be underway.

Author Donna L. Young and her retired military husband are attempting to give back to their community while assisting other military families in crisis. 50% of the sales from the launch day will be donated to organizations that provide direct relief to our military soldiers. 25% will go directly to the local, Paso Robles based military relief program, Supplies for Soldiers. The other 25% of sales will be donated to Soldiers Bible Ministry to place a bible in the hands of our soldiers.

Young’s book was released in March 2011 in paperback from Xulon Press, a division of Salem Communications. The story centers on a Christian military wife who fully surrenders her life to Jesus Christ the night her marriage results in violence. Young says, “I was sitting in the local jail holding cell, charged with a felony, when I thought, ‘How did I get here?’” With help from church members and others in their local community, the Young’s found incredible hope through the crisis and remain married.

Now, LeeRoy Young works full-time to support their family while Donna Young volunteers full-time sharing the Gospel with others. Together, they assist military organizations and directly reach out to soldiers and their families.  “In sharing our story with others, we discovered just how many military families are experiencing crisis too. I find myself spending many hours on the phone listening to stories of tragedy and loss. Then, I share the hope we found in Jesus Christ!”
