This morning during my quiet time with You, Jesus, the pages of my Bible landed upon Isaiah Chapter 52. I began to quietly sigh when I read verse seven which says,
"How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
You had answered another prayer. I would soon be sharing the Gospel on the East Coast of the United States of America. Sweet contentment filled my heart as I pictured just how I’d reach out to hurting hearts with good news and glad tidings. I sat in my favorite chair almost motionless as I pondered over the incredible privilege of serving You.
At one point, I became overwhelmed in holy awe and wonder. Soon, tears began to roll down my cheeks as I questioned to myself, “Who am I, that You should count me worthy to serve You? How could someone so flawed be worthy to serve such a mighty God?” Then, I began to pray, “Please Father, help me to see myself as You do. Sometimes, all I see are my weaknesses. Please shape me into a child that You can be proud of. I want to desperately, to bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.”
